Independence
Our editorial team decides what we write and what we say. Brands and retailers do not review, approve or pay for coverage. We don’t accept free products in exchange for mentions.
Guides, not rankings
We focus on explaining how work boots work: construction, materials, fit, safety ratings, care and foot health. We don’t publish “best of” lists. We believe a clear explanation of what to look for is more useful than a ranking that goes out of date the moment a model changes.
Sources
We rely on primary sources wherever possible:
- Published safety standards, including ASTM F2413 and ASTM F2892 in the US, CSA Z195 in Canada and EN ISO 20345 in Europe

Health and safety information
Foot-health guides are general information, not medical advice. They explain common causes and practical steps, and they say clearly when to see a doctor or podiatrist. Safety guides explain what standards mean; they do not replace your employer’s hazard assessment or PPE policy.

Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review guides when standards are revised and at least once a year. If you spot an error, please contact us. Material corrections are made promptly.
